A high-quality end product starts with a high-quality raw material. At Vanafish, a great deal of time is spent sourcing the right quality of fish.
For salmon, this means working in close collaboration with salmon farmers. Over the years, we’ve mapped out the optimal farming regions for each season. This gives us maximum control over the quality of our salmon.
For halibut, we work exclusively with the highest quality: Greenland black halibut (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides), caught solely by line fishing. This consistent approach ensures the beautiful color and firm texture of our halibut fillets, which serve as the foundation for our end product.
